Coffee according to Romeo Morganti.
In the 1890s, apothecary Romeo Morganti developed a deep fascination with coffee, a beverage still far from the global favorite it is today. At that time, coffee was sold raw, and each customer had to roast it manually, often producing uneven results. Motivated by curiosity and a passion for innovation, Romeo sought a way to improve both the process and the quality of the final cup.
Drawing on his scientific background, he designed and built one of the first coffee roasting machines, allowing beans to be roasted consistently on a larger scale. This breakthrough not only transformed coffee production but also gave life to the first Morganti roaster, marking the beginning of a family legacy that would span generations.
Over the years, the Morganti family continued to refine and perfect the art of roasting, balancing tradition with progress. Today, Caffè Morganti unites modern production systems with the same artisanal care and dedication that have defined it since its origins. The result is a range of espresso blends with a distinctive, inimitable flavor—true expressions of Italian coffee craftsmanship and passion.

The Coffee Production Phases
01 | Selection
The company places great emphasis on the uniqueness and consistent quality of its blends. For this reason, it personally oversees every stage of the process, carefully selecting and sourcing the finest raw coffee beans directly from the countries of origin, including regions in Central America, South America, India, Italy, and Africa. This hands-on approach ensures that each blend reflects the company’s high standards and distinctive character.
02 | Roasting
After careful selection, we move on to blending, then to the primary roasting, a phase in which the coffee bean undergoes significant and important chemical, physical and aromatic modifications. Blending involves product success with the aim of obtaining a perfect balance between taste, aroma and body according to the recipes of an ancient tradition. The most critical phase is that of roasting, in which the roaster, despite the various temperature changes, must be able to maintain a high uniformity of taste and color of the coffee mixture in order to obtain the best result.
03 | Grinding
The final stage of coffee processing is grinding, during which the product reaches its finished form - the roasted coffee beans are carefully ground into a fine powder. Following this step, the coffee is meticulously packaged to ensure that it remains fresh and protected throughout its journey to consumers around the world. This careful attention to detail helps preserve the rich, intense, and lingering aroma that distinguishes the company’s coffee from the rest.
